USB Timing Box
Read over its serial feed from a Windows laptop at the track. Plug it in, start the round and the crossings arrive.
Ubidium
Read over its network API instead of a serial cable, so the decoder can sit out at the loop and the laptop can sit in the tower.
Your existing transponders
Both 125 kHz and 2.4 GHz are read. Nothing is re-chipped, nothing is re-registered, and a rider's own transponder works at every club running Roost.
One loop, or three
A single loop across the start line runs a meeting. A second just after the gate gives a holeshot per class. Any further loop becomes a sector split.
What Roost adds to it
The decoder counts crossings. Everything between a rider's entry and their championship position is the part that eats your Sunday.
Entries and payment online
Classes, caps, waitlists, memberships and add-ons. Entry money lands in your club's own Stripe account as riders book.
A sign-on sheet that fills itself in
One printed sheet per class with every booked rider, their number, membership and transponder already on it, and numbered blank lines for walk-ups.
Live timing on every phone
Positions, gaps and lap times published within a second of each crossing. Spectators open a web page; there is nothing to install.
Holeshots and sector splits
Worked out per class from the loop each crossing arrives on, so a combined gate gives you a holeshot for each class in it.

Each moto is final as the flag drops. Combine the day's motos per class and print the trophy sheets in minutes.
Championship standings
Points accumulate the way your club scores them, including dropped scores, wild cards and overlay cups, and publish to riders before you have left the track.

Does it work with our existing transponders?
Yes. Roost reads the 125 kHz and 2.4 GHz transponders you already own. There is nothing to re-chip and no new transponder to buy.
Which decoders are supported?
The USB Timing Box over its serial feed, and the Ubidium over its network API. One loop across the start line is enough to run a meeting.
Do we need extra loops?
Only if you want holeshots or sector times. A second loop just after the gate gives a holeshot per class; any further loop becomes a sector split.
What if the internet drops at the track?
The bridge keeps its own copy of every crossing and carries on timing offline. When the signal returns it sends the backlog in order, so nothing is lost or counted twice.
Can riders enter and pay online too?
Yes. Entries, memberships, practice days and club events all run through the same system, and the money goes to your club directly.
What does it cost our club?
Your entry price reaches you whole; Roost's share is paid by the rider on top of it. How the money works.
